Nuevo Vallarta fishing Report September

The September fishing report goes off with some incredible fishing and fantastic weather here in Nuevo Vallarta. Fishing has been excellent and we have been catching a lot of fish big game out there in the Pacific ocean. Bay fishing is show limits almost every day and deep-sea fishing is even hotter.
This month I wanted to explain about the rainy season and the best fishing grounds in the following months.  nuevo vallarta september fishing
I receive many phone calls every month wondering about where the fish are, what the weather is going to be like, and how many fish they’re going to catch. During the summer months, we do get rain and it’s almost every day. This is fantastic as the weather cools off. This happens usually late in the evening. The days are sunny and beautiful. It’s a little-known fact that the rainy season actually helps our fishing offshore and inshore. The rain and all the nutrients that come from the mountains surrounding Nuevo Vallarta go right back into the ocean. This turns the fishing on and brings to fish in a lot closer. This refreshing rain we receive actually helps our fishing and happens almost every day. The weatherman may say rain every day, but the forecast will be nice and sunny during the day. If you are looking for great fishing action Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico is the place to be.

What kind of fish are we going to be able to catch in the rainy season? If you and your friends are fishing the bay, it’s jam-packed with a lot of small game skipjack, mahi-mahi, roosterfish, snapper, and sailfish. Yes, the sailfish come into the bay in the summer months. This happens because of all the rain and the abundance of bait In the bay.
Offshore fishing is best during the rainy season and in early Fall. There’s no telling what size Marlin you can catch during this time of the season. These huge fish are cruising up and down the shore for our prime-time fishing grounds which is right here in Puerto Vallarta during the rainy season.
Marlin, sailfish, huge mahi-mahi, and large tuna are what the summer and Fall fishing seasons are all about. Be sure to be ready to spend the day looking for these pelagic fish. This kind of fishing is usually done in the 8 to 10 hr trips. When fishing offshore your odds of landing the big one go up tenfold. Ready to book a custom fishing adventure click here.

The bay has some of the best fishing in the works, but does not compare to our offshore fishing.
We have so many people come down looking to catch their first big Marlin during the summer and Fall months. The best be is to talk to one of our local experts to determine the right boat, time, and crew for you. Some of these clients request a four or six-hour trip. You can get lucky here in the baby and catch a fish of a lifetime but it’s much better offshore. The odds are always better for big game offshore fishing. Like I said before there are months that we catch sailfish, mahi-mahi, and marlin on these short bay trips. The really big difference is your chances go up much more offshore. We do have great vacation fishing in the rainy season but when you’re looking for a big game it’s always better to try to book 8 hours plus on one of the deep sea fishing boats. We have a lot of tricks that we used to find the fish such as Terrafin, tides ,moon phase, Bait Movement, and What we have been catching the days before. These are just a few of the factors when looking at big game fishing. I enjoy getting all the calls and about the current weather fishing conditions each month. I’m always happy to help find the perfect boat here in Nuevo Vallarta. I created a question-and-answer page which details a lot of questions that some people ask each day. You can look up all the expert answers before going out fishing with us

Hope to see everybody out there on the water here in beautiful Nuevo Vallarta.

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report June

Many thanks to a number of local charter Captains here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, fishing guides, and other private boats I know, we’re able to bring you regular fishing reports from many areas around the bay and offshore in Nuevo Vallarta. Many of our clients post their own reports on TripAdvisor or our Facebook page. It’s definitely worth checking out for what’s happening right now in and around Nuevo Vallarta., and you can post your own reports, pictures and share information with others. Take a look at Facebook and TripAdvisor.

The June fishing report starts off with the warming of the water inshore and offshore.  I spoke last month about the abundance of baitNuevo Vallarta fishing arriving here in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico.  These conditions will continue throughout the summer months.  The only difference will be the arrival of bigger fish. Some of these pelagic fish include marlin, sailfish, mahi-mahi, and the most sought-after yellowfin tuna.  The huge tunas follow the bait the thermoclines right into the bay but mostly stay offshore.  As of matter of fact, some of them were showing up last month in good numbers.  With the arrival of warm water and so much baitfish, you can easily see why anglers love summertime fishing here in Nuevo Vallarta. There will be numerous families visiting us here in Mexico over the summer months for fishing and what a perfect time to do so.  The bay fishing will be hot as July in El Paso. Now that’s hot!  Hope you will be able to come down and enjoy the hot action and beautiful beaches here in Nuevo Vallarta. Please check our competitive rates before coming down to Nuevo Vallarta.

Offshore fishing will start to see more black marlin and blue marlin.  When the cool water moves out the striped marlin move to the cool water fishing grounds.  Seems like every time one species of fish leave another shows up just in time to keep the fishing interesting here in our part of the neck of the woods.  Along with the huge marlin, the tuna will pop up around the bay and offshore. With the trade winds and local currents, we have you just never know where they will start to feed.  This is one of the main reasons we use the satellite service for checking water temp and water clarity before leaving the dock.  This not only cuts down on the time we have to hunt for the fish it gives our boats an edge up on the other fleet.fishing in Nuevo Vallarta

If you are looking for some fantastic beaches, friendly people, incredible restaurants, and some of the best fishing on the planet come to Nuevo Vallarta fishing this summer. June is when the fishing really starts to get good here in Nuevo Vallarta.

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report for May

Here in Nuevo Vallarta, the fishing is looking up just like the party we had for 5 de Mayo.  What a fun time and even more fun on the water where you are sure to have a great day fishing with us.  We love a good party and Mom’s day is coming up in a few days.  Everyone enjoys catching marlin when on vacation here in Nuevo Vallarta. The stripers are luring around with the water warming up but starting to see some black and blue marlin offshore. When the water get to  78 deg. mark we start seeing loads of these incredible pelagic fish. Most of these are 8 to 10 hrs. Trips. The dorado’s action are still here but not good numbers.  We have been catching some of these fantastic eating fish. They not only fun to catch but can’t be beaten for the grill. With some much bait moving into the bay we will see some hot fishing this summer and coming months.marlin fishing in nuevo vallarta

The bay fishing action has been better than steady. There have been incredible fishing for yellowtail and those fish have been plentiful. Some days we have caught them on the surface feeding.   A few days fishermen had to stop because the action was so consistent. Some days they started feeding and would not stop. The perfect conditions are just right and there are still plenty of baitfish here it always keeps them around for a while longer here in Nuevo Vallarta.
The Spanish mackerel, California Bonita, and snapper have kept the inshore folks happy and the chefs happy as well. Who doesn’t like some grilled snapper? The water temperatures are on the rise and will be until the rainy season hits this June. Then the real fun starts. nuevo vallarta fishing
Until then we will just have to be happy with sailfish and marlin offshore. Along with this superb inshore fishing we are having this is enough to keep all anglers happy.  We have some of the best prices in all of Mexico.
Hope to see everyone out there on the water here in beautiful Nuevo Vallarta where some of the best fishing happens in Mexico

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report March

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report for the beginning of March is starting off much better. I was just remembering our March fishing from last year and how well it had started off. We all will remember when and how Covid 19 affected everyone’s lives. This year 2021 we are expecting the same great fishing with many repeat clients and some new ones who want to enjoy the beautiful weather we have here in the spring. With vacations rolling out all over the world we are expecting more clients than last year.  There are new protocols in place for Covid 19 in Nuevo Vallarta.  This will be a great year for fishing and being outdoors. The fantastic fishing we have here in March. Just need to have more testing and for most countries, we are in for a safe year and some hot fishing. The month of March brings in gentle breezes and all kinds of pelagic fish. Marlin, sailfish, and mahi-mahi are just a few of them. Nuevo Vallarta Mahi-MahiIn March there will be a warming of the water moving up to several degrees. This brings all kinds of bait into the bay and offshore. We all know in fishing anywhere in the world if you find the bait you find the fish and you will have a fantastic day on the water.
The water changes here and around our bay are a blessing in many ways. First, the bigger fish start to return like black and blue marlin. The striped marlin will also be here until the water reaches 78 degrees. There will be an increase in the skipjack tuna here and offshore. The big marlin will be right behind them. With the water temperatures hitting almost perfection what’s not to like about Nuevo Vallarta fishing charters. Secondly, the gentle winds will be washing in all kinds of baitfish. From skip-jack tuna to thousands of sardines. This causes an abundance of fish in the bay. Fantastic news for the folks that are looking for those short fishing charters in the bay.
For our repeat clients and new fishermen coming to fish here in March, the action has started off incredibly. Last year it seemed like a bad joke when the fishing took off like a lightning bolt and the boats were tied up at the dock thanks to Mr. COVID 19. This year will be much different in the way of clients. Most offshore days are already booked. If some fun days fishing, sun-filled beaches, nightlife, and fantastic shopping appeals to you then Nuevo Vallarta is the place to be this spring.
Last but not least point about coming to Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. The people here are the most friendly people in the world. From our neighbors, folks on the street, and especially our crews that work on all our boats. Come down and enjoy a special day on one of our boats from 28 ft. Super panga to 100 ft.  Cruisers.
Remember, if we can’t catch it you don’t want to hook it.

Fishing report October 2019

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report for October 2019 is a great one. Mahi-mahi, Marlin, tuna and sailfish will be around for The Fall season. Right here in Nuevo Vallarta Nayarit Mexico. We’re ranked number one for pelagic fishing right here in the Pacific from the Nuevo Vallarta. We started the month out by doing some maintenance on some of the boats getting ready for the winter season. Winter season is the high seas in here and we always have plenty of bait and Plenty of Fish. We have a couple of different companies that we work with that supply our fishing bait. They work all night to make sure we have fresh bait in the morning for all our clients. Tough job but at 2 dollars a bait it’s a fisherman’s dream job.

Offshore fishing

nuevo vallarta fishingYesterday was great of towards the north side of Nuevo Vallarta catching some Marlin, sailfish and mahi-mahi. Mixed in there were some Snapper along with roosterfish. Couple of rooster fish and some nice mahi-mahi for a 6-hour charter. Action is heating up right here in Nuevo Vallarta fishing.
