Fishing report October 2019

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report for October 2019 is a great one. Mahi-mahi, Marlin, tuna and sailfish will be around for The Fall season. Right here in Nuevo Vallarta Nayarit Mexico. We’re ranked number one for pelagic fishing right here in the Pacific from the Nuevo Vallarta. We started the month out by doing some maintenance on some of the boats getting ready for the winter season. Winter season is the high seas in here and we always have plenty of bait and Plenty of Fish. We have a couple of different companies that we work with that supply our fishing bait. They work all night to make sure we have fresh bait in the morning for all our clients. Tough job but at 2 dollars a bait it’s a fisherman’s dream job.

Offshore fishing

nuevo vallarta fishingYesterday was great of towards the north side of Nuevo Vallarta catching some Marlin, sailfish and mahi-mahi. Mixed in there were some Snapper along with roosterfish. October is a great time to be fishing from Nuevo Vallarta. Over on the south side we had one of the smaller boats fishing for roosterfish and mahi – mahi they had fantastic luck. Couple of rooster fish and some nice mahi-mahi for a 6-hour charter. Action is heating up right here in Nuevo Vallarta fishing.

Fishing Report July 2019

Weather & Fishing

Before I tell you about the incredible Fishing Report July 2019 here in Nuevo Vallarta, I want to explain the question of the weather here in Nayarit. I get a lot of calls each month asking about what the weather is going to be in the summer months here in Nuevo Vallarta. We are in rainy season during June to the first part of October. We do have some rain for these months. Here in the Nuevo Vallarta we experience rains late afternoon or early evening. During the days the skies are sunny for fishing and other water/beach activities. Before getting the boats ready for our charters in the early morning I’m constantly checking the weather conditions in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. We’ve been in business here for over 30 years and have never had an accident or any weather related problems. We appreciate everyone calling and asking about the weather.

I enjoy talking to everyone and your calls are welcomed. I just want you to know we’ll be keeping an eye on the weather for you for the summer months for any boating activities or tours you might be doing that day here while on vacation in one of the most beautiful spots in the world.

Offshore Fishing

nuevo vallarta tuna fishingJuly fishing has started off hot here in Nuevo Vallarta. The offshore action is good as it gets. We’re seeing some nice Marlin along with some 250 lbs. tuna. The summer months is when the bigger Dorado start showing up offshore. In one of my last reports we’re starting to see the trash lines that are created by the light rains and winds in the evening we have here in the summer months. We can fish these lines with live bait catching Dorado and often along with the super fast feeding sailfish that feed on this trash line where two different water temperatures coming together. You can see this when you are out on the water fish here in Nuevo Vallarta.

Bay Fishing

The Bay fishing here in Nuevo Vallarta has been really fantistic for the month of July. Starting to see all kinds of small game feeding on those sardines that have been showing up with this warm weather and warm water. There’s been some of the roosterfish over on the south part of Nuevo Vallarta. I stated in our last fishing report for June that we would be seeing them. The conditions here in July or the inshore fishing have gotten better. We are already starting to see a lots of families or other folks coming down wanting to fish and this is perfect for the Bay. We’ve also had a couple of good days fishing for bottom fishing for snapper and sea bass. These along with other good eating bottom fish. We’ve seen a few large amberjack on the inshore and offshore trips those are always good eating and put up an incredible fight.

The weather conditions remain good with the same winds and seas have been pretty much flat. In the afternoon we have been seen a little more wind but no big waves. Water temperature here in Nuevo Vallarta fishing still holding right around 80° which is perfect for the pelagic fish fat we love catching here in Mexico.

Fishing Report May 2019

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report May 2019. The fishing in Nuevo Vallarta is hot as a firecracker. Warm waters are moving in and all kinds of baits are following them. This large amount of bait brings in all kinds of fish the good eating red snapper the large California Bonita and the Spanish mackerel still hanging around right here in Nuevo Vallarta. When you see these pelagic fish moving you will see the large game Fish moving in right behind them. This is what’s happening in the month of May. The water is warmed up 77 degrees hanging around 78 degrees and we start seeing sailish, Marlin and mahi -mahi. These fish come in to feed on these large bait balls.

What’s the best way to catch a fish right here in Puerto Vallarta. All the really good captains and good boats use a setup with high-speed lures short with teasers, and some long baits. We also stay on the lookout with pitch baits. These pitch rates are usually goggle eyes and once pitched into a school of sailfish or marlin the action begins. We’ve been also using the same pitch baits for some large schools of striped Marlin. There are few other pictures here in Nuevo Vallarta fishing with the results. This morning we had a double Marlin hook up and the other day we had another triple hook up on striped Marlin. Fabulous fishing in Nuevo Vallarta fishing.

Offshore action

You’re looking for the offshore action there are the Big Tuna and some of the larger black and blue Marlins in May. This is a good time to be here. The El Morro it still seems some good action with the sailfish and a few Marlin. The Rock is still hot and tuna’s are still hanging around. There are black and blue marlin big ones to be taken on a lot of chorras 5 to 10 lb baits. When we live bait with 300 lbs. fluorocarbon leaders and fishing with a 10 lb baits you never know what’s going to get that but you do know it’ll be something really big.

Big Game Fishing

The El Faro and Banco is seen some pretty good action with tuna and fast feeding sailfish along with some bigger than Marlin striped. These are the 12 hour trips and I’ve been very very successful. So if you’re looking for a really good action here in Nuevo Vallarta fishing charters May is the month to be here. So come on down or give us a call on our toll-free number 800 4306049 and we will be more than happy to help you out or answer any questions that you might have. Remember no question is too silly to ask before you come down and book a boat.

Fishing report Spring Break 2019

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report for Spring break 2019 is here and in full swing. The fishing is looking good as the fishermen come here on vacation to Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. We had receiving groups fishing from Canada and the United States. With all these clients we couldn’t have had the spectular month that we did last year for all of our trips fishing here. We had a great month fishing with some nice sailfish, mahi – mahi, all kinds of yellowtails and some striped Marlin/ sailfish.

Offshore fishing report

March is when we get our normal trade winds and currents that are good for the deep sea fishing. This brings in a lot of blue water filled with all kinds of bait these pelagic fish love to eat. The water temperatures did move down a little bit and it’s holding steady at about 79 degrees. This means will still be able to see the striped Marlin but would be surprised to see the blue marlin and some black action show up with more consistency.

Inshore fishing & Whale-Watching

Nuevo Vallarta fishing is having fantistic action and lots of deep sea fishing trips. The humpback whales are still here and will be until the last of April. The fishing areas have been calm and overall the fishing has been great. Nuevo Vallarta is still one of the hottest places to fish in Mexico.

Nuevo Vallarta fishing is as good as it gets. The hard fighting Yellowtail have been showing up in huge numbers. Most days we’ve seen schools up almost 200 to 300 fish tear up the bait balls that arrived with these March trade winds. The playful humpback whales are still out close to Nuevo Vallarta and it’s not surprising to see the mom and the baby calf playing that are close by.

Punta de Mita Fishing

Punta Mita fishing is hot this time of the year. Punta Mita fishing is where we usually see the effects of the great tides and trade winds that come in March as it surrounds us in all kinds of bait for the pelagic fish to eat. Just north of Punta Mita fishing still seeing sailfish and some striped Marlin almost every day. These are really great for your 10-hour fishing trips up to 12 hrs. trips offshore for the big ones.

The fishing here in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico is good to excellent. We’re still waiting to see who the really good numbers and the schooling roosterfish and more sailfish. As the water heats up so will the fishing.

Fishing Report October 2018

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report October 2018. The abundance of sailfish , Marlin, and mahi – mahi have kept us busy fishing here in Nuevo Vallarta for the larger hot marlin this month. The offshore action right now for October is really and getting better. The most consistent bite has been around the Corbetena or Rock  were there has been  nice tuna as well. These trips that we’re doing now offshore are 8 to 10 hours and I’ve had some really great success on all the pelagic fish that were fishing for here in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. The black and blue marlin have been hitting the live bait very well and also some of our black Bart larger lures. The best Vallarta had one on the other day that was almost 700 lb.

Offshore Fishing

marlin fishing in Nuevo VallartaWe have one of our big annual deep sea fishing tournaments coming up in La Cruz  which is only 10 minutes south of Nuevo Vallarta. There will be a lot of boats available for this tournament and this is one of the best times to fish here in Nuevo Vallarta and the surrounding areas. There should be lots of prizes like automobiles, cash, fishing equipment, boats and many other prizes. If you’re here during October 31st to November 4th this is a great tournament to come and check out or participate in. At this time we have one fishing boat available for this tournament. Send me an email if you’re interested in fishing this international tournament that we have every year.

Inshore

nuevo vallarta dorado fishingThe inshore fishing is still holding steady as well here in Nuevo Vallarta fishing. The Spanish mackerel bite has been really good over by the river Ameca close to Vidanta Hotel and over on the North Shore Skipjacks, some of the smaller mahi-mahi, Snapper and some other small game has been really good fishing. On the South Side there has been some roosterfish, the yellowtail and other small game all along the shores there. Fishing overall for the month of October here in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico and simply just been off to charts. If you want to come out and have a fun day trip we have several boats that can get you out there and we have larger boats for taking you off shore for some of the big game fishing that is really hot right now.
