When you are in Nuevo Vallarta during the month of March there are 4 things you’ll surely find. The 1st is gonna be some of the friendliest people in the world, also you will notice have incredible weather during March with cool afternoon breezes on our amazing beaches, many fun activities for spring break, and some of the best fishing in the world. 
During the month of March, we’ll see lot of changes in our fishing grounds and techniques. We’ll start to see the water get hot which is a good thing for the larger marlin, blues, and blacks. We’ll see numerous schools of different bait entering the Bay and just offshore. This is a fantastic fishing factor here in Nuevo Vallarta. With so much bait around the bay and so many fishing options, you will not know which fishing trip to choose. We have it all from bay fishing, overnight fishing, bottom fishing. Deep-sea fishing, offshore fishing, and reef fishing.
I always like to get people to let me know what they want to fish for when coming to Nuevo Vallarta this time of the year. A lot of people don’t realize March is the best month for rooster fishing here in Vallarta. You will love taking one of our 8-hour fishing trips during this time of the year. With so many coastlines here have incredible Bay fishing along with all the other options I have listed above. And we also have incredible offshore fishing. One of my favorite trips is the 8-hour trip, where will fish inside the Bay and then blast offshore looking for some sailfish and marlin. If the marlin action is not so crazy Marlin then we will come back and hit some of those reefs for snapper, amberjack, and the most sought-after roosterfish. One of the surprising things that you’ll find is that these bait balls can pop up anywhere at any time during the month of March. This happens quite often in the bay of Puerto Vallarta and offshore. As you’ve seen before in my fishing reports we have a lot of factors. We look for many fishing factors, but the number one factor you will find is the bait movement. If you find the bait you will differently find the fish. The fish love the right temperature water, clarity, but last but not least is the bait. Everything gotta eaten and so do the fish. So if you’re on the bait You’re on the fish. So the trick is to be on the bait when you got the right tide either coming in or going out. You will surely be catching fish in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico.

For people love fishing in Nuevo Vallarta in the winter. February is the month here for lovers and for people that love to fish Nuevo Vallarta. With the simple fact, we have hundreds of miles of coastline for fishing and five of the top places in the world to fish. We can obviously see why anglers want to be in Nuevo Vallarta for the month of February. 
Just a few of the reasons is we have excellent weather with the water temperature hanging around the mid-70s the ambient water temperature in the mid-70s as well. This is perfect for beachgoers and the folks that love to fish in perfect weather. This produces all kinds of good fishing in the bay and offshore so let’s explore fishing options we have for February.
If you’re going to be fishing short amount of time here in Nuevo Vallarta in February the bay fishing is fantastic. Over the last couple of weeks, we have been catching California Bonita, yellowtail, Mahi – Mahi, some sailfish, and even some striped Marlin inside the bay. Some of the best action has been over on the North Shore is known to produce a lot of fish and it’s called Palo Verde. This is a good spot almost every day in the winter fishing. There are a few shallow spots there for bottom fishing and excellent for trolling. Often we were able to catch the fish schooling on the surface and having incredible action. On most days trolling along with some Pitch, baits have been sufficient to catch limits the four to six fishing trips. It’s also a great opportunity to use some pitch baits and topwater action along this shoreline on the north side of the bay. . If you’re wanting to come down and go for sailfish and Marlin I recommend 8 hours plus trips for offshore fishing. What can you expect in fishing these waters during the month of February ? First striped Marlin, blue and black marlin, dorados, wahoo, and some tuna. There are some places that we use called the Corbetens and El Banco these are 10 and 12-hour trips. These fishing trips offshore are for going for the Big Tuna, the big marlin, and other pelagic fish. Anglers always ask me what it likes to catch one of these huge fish. Well, just imagine holding on to the back bumper of your car for four hrs and not letting go. You will experience this feeling on our fishing trips. We also have some incredible bottom fishing on our 8 Hour trips like the El Morro and some of the reefs out by Punta Mita one of my favorite places to bottom fish is called the Corbetena changing and produces another huge red snapper we catch this time of the year we’re still seeing extraordinary warm waters for this time of the month. The water temperature is hovering around 80 degrees in most places. Where you see these big temperature jumps from 70 degrees to 80 degrees this is where you’ll see the thermoclines and tuna feeding. The one advantage that we have over a lot of these other companies as we fish every day with multiple boats so we have multiple Captains with crews on the water at all the different fishing spots. We also use Terrafin which gives us an exact idea of where the blue water fishing places are, water temps, water clarity, and the thermoclines breaks.

Nuevo Vallarta fishing report for December
The in-the-know anglers enjoy in Nuevo Vallarta for the month of December. Some of the most obvious reasons are incredible weather, sunny skies, fantastic lodging, nightlife, and incredible offshore fishing. Deep-sea fishing in the winter here is a lot like Christmas, ya never know what you are going to catch. The following species of pelagic fish will be had inshore and offshore. Try your hand at fishing for marlin, sailfish, wahoo, tuna, and mahi-mahi in Nuevo Vallarta. With the warm waters coming and going it keeps us guessing as to what the bite will be tomorrow. The one constant thing we can count on is good fishing in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.
The sailfish, tuna, and marlin love the semi-warm water that we have all winter long. When most of the United States and Canada are putting their boat is storage we are in full fishing mode here in beautiful Nuevo Vallarta. With the warm waters and abundance of bait you just never know what you can catch here. We have all kinds of fish, but the constant changing of water temps and currents keeps us on toes or should I say our boats. 
If you are looking for marlin fishing in the winter we have right here for some offshore fishing. The plan will be for 8 hours to 10 hrs or even 12 hours depending on where the blue water is and the bait movement. If you follow our fishing reports I always say follow the bait and you will find the fish. The huge marlin loves the warmer water but will not starve themselves to death. We all have to eat and so do the marlin. Hence we have to follow the baits and the other fishing conditions that are tale-tale signs the fish will be biting in our area. If the conditions change so do we. Follow the fish to success.
The sailfish swims in temperatures that can range from 75 to 80 degrees water but with some exceptions. We see these fish in the summer when the water temp is above 80 degree. That is what makes the winter fishing in Nuevo Vallarta so nice is the perfect water temperatures. With all kinds of bait like mullet, sardine and goggle-eye,bonitas, chorras there’s nothing holding us back here in Puerto Vallarta fishing. If you want excitement try fishing with 5 to 10 lbs baits for our blue and black marlin. 
The mahi-mahi aka dorados loves the water temp from 68 degrees to 82 deg. We have those water temps most of year-round. The best water temperatures are in the winter months here in Puerto Vallarta bay fishing. To catch these fish be sure and know where the water temp breaks are in the bay. We use Terrifin and this will put us in the fish zone most days. The mahi-mahi fantastic fighters are just like us and love the warm water and will be here most of the year especially in the winter. Come down and give mahi-mahi fishing a chance inshore or offshore. The best bet is a charter of 8 hours for some thrilling action and an incredible table fare. There are some of the best-tasting fish anywhere.
The bay fishing holds very steadily for the winter months. We have the Spanish mackerel,skip-jack tuna, yellowtail, and snapper that keeps our clients happy even on short trips of for to six hours. Most days we can load the boat up with some good eating fish along with some fabulous fishing. Be sure and check availability before coming down. The November fishing report is here. I want to start off with some fantastic news and tell you about several upcoming fishing tournaments. The first good news is the weather has changed to almost perfect. This is great news for the fishermen, beach goers, golfers, and especially the fishing. The cool waters here in the Bay of Flags brings in all kinds of pelagic fish. The water temperatures will be around 75 degrees until late winter. Actually, the water never gets too cold to jump in and enjoy the beaches. The most sought-after fish loves these water temperatures. The sailfish, marlin, tuna, and mahi-mahi- will be here in abundance. Take a guess what kind of tournaments we will be having in November? It will be the fish I have just listed above. The first one is for Dorados, sailfish, and Marlin. Held every year for over 15 years. There will be around 200 boats in this tournament which we won the last year it was held at Los Muertos beach. The second is the 65, th. International sailfish, marlin, tuna, and mahi-mahi. ( Be sure and watch for us in the winner’s circle again this year. This tournament is one of the best on the Pacific coast. Held at Nuevo marina Vallarta with all kinds of restaurants, shops, and other cool places to see along with the weigh-in of all the fish. One of the things we like to do is post on Facebook for fishing updates and folks can take a look at what we are catching day in and day out.
This is the time of the year when the warmer water is moving out and the cooling water is moving in. This brings and some spectacular fishing here and beautiful Puerto Vallarta. A.K.A. Perfect fishing conditions in Nuevo Vallarta.
Let me tell you what you can expect to catch during your stay here in Nuevo Vallarta Mexico. There will be some very good bay fishing. These trips are usually four to six hours. You will have plenty of time to catch some Spanish mackerel, skipjack tuna, snapper, yellowtail, and even mahi-mahi in the Fall months. In October we did limit out many days fishing for dorados here in the bay. Great fishing news for everyone. These are perfect for families or folks that just want a short trip but still catch plenty of fish. These bay fishing trips are great for taking fish back to the hotel for dinner or a favorite restraint of your choice.
With all these fishing tournaments going on you know the fishing is going to be good. We try and plan these deep-sea fishing tournaments at the best time of the year. The offshore fishing will be producing huge marlin, sailfish, good-eating tuna, wahoo, mahi-mahi, and amberjack just to mention a few.

Nuevo Vallarta fishing Report September
The September fishing report goes off with some incredible fishing and fantastic weather here in Nuevo Vallarta. Fishing has been excellent and we have been catching a lot of fish big game out there in the Pacific ocean. Bay fishing is show limits almost every day and deep-sea fishing is even hotter.
This month I wanted to explain about the rainy season and the best fishing grounds in the following months. 
I receive many phone calls every month wondering about where the fish are, what the weather is going to be like, and how many fish they’re going to catch. During the summer months, we do get rain and it’s almost every day. This is fantastic as the weather cools off. This happens usually late in the evening. The days are sunny and beautiful. It’s a little-known fact that the rainy season actually helps our fishing offshore and inshore. The rain and all the nutrients that come from the mountains surrounding Nuevo Vallarta go right back into the ocean. This turns the fishing on and brings to fish in a lot closer. This refreshing rain we receive actually helps our fishing and happens almost every day. The weatherman may say rain every day, but the forecast will be nice and sunny during the day. If you are looking for great fishing action Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico is the place to be.
What kind of fish are we going to be able to catch in the rainy season? If you and your friends are fishing the bay, it’s jam-packed with a lot of small game skipjack, mahi-mahi, roosterfish, snapper, and sailfish. Yes, the sailfish come into the bay in the summer months. This happens because of all the rain and the abundance of bait In the bay.
Offshore fishing is best during the rainy season and in early Fall. There’s no telling what size Marlin you can catch during this time of the season. These huge fish are cruising up and down the shore for our prime-time fishing grounds which is right here in Puerto Vallarta during the rainy season.
Marlin, sailfish, huge mahi-mahi, and large tuna are what the summer and Fall fishing seasons are all about. Be sure to be ready to spend the day looking for these pelagic fish. The bay has some of the best fishing in the works, but does not compare to our offshore fishing.
We have so many people come down looking to catch their first big Marlin during the summer and Fall months. The best be is to talk to one of our local experts to determine the right boat, time, and crew for you. Some of these clients request a four or six-hour trip. You can get lucky here in the baby and catch a fish of a lifetime but it’s much better offshore. The odds are always better for big game offshore fishing. Like I said before there are months that we catch sailfish, mahi-mahi, and marlin on these short bay trips. The really big difference is your chances go up much more offshore. We do have great vacation fishing in the rainy season but when you’re looking for a big game it’s always better to try to book 8 hours plus on one of the deep sea fishing boats. We have a lot of tricks that we used to find the fish such as Terrafin, tides ,moon phase, Bait Movement, and What we have been catching the days before.
